31st: A full card of Non League fixtures for the Bank Holiday means there should be some good local action wherever you are.
Basford United, for example, host Rugby Town in the Northern Premier League Division One South and supporters of Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Mansfield Town can watch the game for just £4 upon production of either their season ticket or a match programme/ticket from a recent fixture. Remembering their recent roots, Basford have also extended the offer to local amateur clubs.
1st: The opening round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy takes place and the majority of clubs will have reduced prices in operation and offers for children in what is termed the 'family friendly' competition.
All tickets for Doncaster Rovers' tie against Burton Albion are £5 while it is £10 for Adults and free for Under-18's as AFC Wimbledon host Plymouth Argyle. Under-16's, meanwhile, go free at Luton and Hartlepool.

5th: An international break for Premier League and Championship clubs should mean there are plenty of opportunities for Non-League sides to offer some deals on admission such as at Kidderminster where the Harriers have reduced prices for the National League home game against Braintree to £10 Adults (standing) and Kids for a Quid.

East Anglian Special: Ipswich Town & Norwich City
The League Cup 3rd Round draw which handed them a trip to face Manchester United has been dominating the thoughts of Ipswich Town supporters over the past few days as the logistics of getting a ticket and travelling to Old Trafford will have been uppermost in their minds.
But the Suffolk club have announced two ticket offers for the matches either side of their trip to Manchester which hopefully will ensure some healthy attendances at Portman Road as Mick McCarthy once again tries to mount a promotion challenge on a budget that pales into comparison with many other clubs in the division.
The televised home game against Birmingham City on Friday 18th September is Kids for a Quid for Under-16's while season ticket holders can buy up to four additional tickets for the match against Bristol City on Saturday 26th for £10 Adults, £8 Concessions and £3 Juniors.
Up at Carrow Road there are three good opportunities to catch the Canaries in action in September.

Kidderminster Harriers FC
Facing plenty of competition with the likes of Aston Villa, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers on their doorstep, the Harriers continue to be a proud symbol of the town of Kidderminster despite falling out of the Football League in 2005.
22nd at the time of writing in the National League, Kidderminster host Braintree Town on Saturday 5 September and have reduced prices for the game to £10 Adults (for standing) and put in place a 'Kids for a Quid' offer with plenty of family-themed activities before the game as well.
Keep an eye on your local Non League club over the weekend of the international break as there should be plenty of offers around for reduced price admission.

Cautious Optimism At The Ricoh Arena
This picture was taken ahead of Tuesday night's game between Coventry City and Crewe Alexandra at the Ricoh Arena, an entertaining 90 minutes which saw the Sky Blues make it three wins out of three in League One and take an early lead at the top of the table.
Having reduced season ticket prices during the early-bird period to £249 for Adults and with matchday prices reduced to a maximum of £20 (£18 if purchased in advance) Coventry have set a break-even figure of 11,000 for the campaign ahead and both attendances to date have exceeded that.
Stripping out away fans, 11,131 home supporters came through the gates against Wigan Athletic and there were probably slightly more than that against Crewe amongst a total gate of 11,511.
There remains a long way to go to even get the stadium more than half-full and the perils of the club being only tenants were shown on Tuesday night when long queues for the collection of tickets meant a delayed kick-off.
But, those who made the effort were rewarded with a good game and an attacking home performance and, crucially, the feeling that they would have had value for money.
With cash turnstiles open and the £20 maximum in place it allows for a late decision to be made as to whether someone is going to the game or not and getting people back into that habit will be crucial for the Sky Blues future going forward.

Welsh Premier Season Starts With Free Football At The Nomads
The build-up to the new Welsh Premier League season has been slightly longer than most other leagues, especially as some of the clubs involved were in European action in June.
But the kick-off is with us this Saturday and gap Connah's Quay Nomads are offering free entry to their opener against Newtown AFC.
The match at the Deeside Stadium starts at 2:30pm on 22nd August.

Capital One Cup Second Round: £10 Ties
The next round of the Capital One Cup will soon be upon us with ties taking place in the week commencing 24th August.
Three Premier League teams who have home draws and have reduced prices to £10 for Adults are Crystal Palace (against Shrewsbury), West Bromwich Albion (against Port Vale which should create a good atmosphere as plenty of visiting supporters will make the short trip) and Sunderland, who have regularly cut prices for cup games over the past couple of seasons. They take on Exeter City.
Hartlepool United have an attractive looking home tie with top-flight newcomers Bournemouth and tickets at the Victoria Ground have been set at £10 Adults and £5 Concessions which is commendable as Pools could probably have charged a bit more but are keen to create a good atmosphere in their bid to cause an upset.
Birmingham City host Gillingham and prices are £10 Adults (£8 for Season Ticket Holders), £5 and £1 for Under-13's.
And a late summer evening at Craven Cottage sounds like a pleasant proposition. Fulham take on cup specialists Sheffield United with prices £10 Adults and £1 for Juniors in all areas of the ground.
All ties are set for Tuesday 25th at 7:45pm except the West Brom game which kicks off at 8pm. Please check the official club websites of all the home teams for further details. Some prices may raise on the day of the game.

£5 Tickets At Doncaster Rovers In The Johnstone's Paint Trophy
It was a £5 offer in the JPT that gave me the idea for this site when I saw the impact that Coventry City's ticket initiative had back in the 2012/13 season so I'm always happy to give a plug to any similar deals.
Doncaster Rovers have priced all tickets at £5 for their opening game in this season's competition, at home to Burton Albion on Tuesday 1 September at 7:45pm.
Elsewhere, in keeping with the family-friendly theme of the JPT, Luton Town will kick off against Leyton Orient on the same evening at 7:15pm and an adult (£12) can bring up to four Under-16's to the game for free while Hartlepool United host Sheffield United at 7pm and Under-16s can claim a free ticket if bought from the Ticket Office by 4pm and in conjunction with a full-paying adult.

Friday night sees four matches scheduled before the bulk of the action takes place on Saturday afternoon. The draw is regionalised at this stage which means plenty of local derbies and, although a minimum ticket price usually applies, adult prices shouldn't get too much above £5.

Norwich City Schedule Eight Under-21 Fixtures For Carrow Road
After attracting thousands through the Carrow Road gates
last season for their highest profile Under-21 matches, Norwich City have
scheduled eight fixtures for their home stadium in 2015/16.
Matches are scheduled this weekend for the Emirates Stadium (Arsenal v Fulham on Friday evening), Stamford Bridge (Chelsea v Southampton on the same night) and the Britannia Stadium (Stoke v Wolves on Saturday afternoon).

Celebrate Celtic At Farsley On Saturday
Formed in 2010 following the demise of Farsley Celtic, the reborn club initially had to take on the name of Farsley AFC when they took their place in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
Progress has been steady since then and in 2015/16 the club will be once again competing in the Northern Premier League Division One North.
More importantly they will once again be known as Farsley Celtic FC as five years have elapsed since the original club folded and FA rules prevent the name during this period being the same as the club that went into administration.
To mark that decision, the first competitive home game of the season at Throstle Nest, against Kendal Town on Saturday 15 August at 3pm, will be free entry to all supporters with the match itself preceeded by a number of other activities.
As the club website itself says: 'The celebration day marks the return of the Celtic name after a five year absence and gives chance for the local community, as well as those further afield, to come and enjoy our wonderful club.'

New Mills AFC
Church Lane, home of New Mills AFC who will be playing in the Northern Premier League First Division North this coming season.
The Millers are hosting a Beer Festival over the weekend of Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August with a Family Fun Day on Saturday 8th August.
There is free admission to all and to qualify this for an article on Affordable Football (and to enable me to dig out the picture I took at Church Lane last season) the New Mills Development Squad will take on Chapel Town in a pre-season friendly at 3pm on Saturday!

A Pre-Ashes Bargain In Nottingham On Wednesday
Having made history by competing in the first ever Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday, Notts County Ladies return to league matters on Wednesday night when they entertain Bristol Academy at Meadow Lane (7:30pm).
The city should be buzzing with excitement with the 4th Ashes Test due to start at Trent Bridge the following morning and anyone lucky enough to be going to the England v Australia clash will be able to watch the WSL fixture for just £1 by showing their ticket at the turnstile.

Reminder: 10 Capital One Cup Ties For £10
